      And US behaviour since the new president was inaugerated has also been a problem for the UK, so here we are.

      Instead of doing the bright thing, giving the UK a sweet deal, making it clear that the US is a better partner than the EU could be they’ve repeatedly insulted us, hit us with tarrifs, changed the trading rules midfly and without warning, expected us to get behind their policy whilst keeping us out of the knowledge loop about what they’re planning to do let alone having some presence in the decision making room, constantly derided our military capability and offered nothing else than childish insults and tantrums.

      Thats without the likely threats to UK democracy that we haven’t seen. (ignoring musk for now)

      Trade with a lot of countries right next to you that will not throw random hissy fits, nightly FU episodes of threats, invade countries just because and demand full support for the chaos created.

      Influencing the UK into Brexit has probably been the greatest success so far of all the foreign agencies that seek to weaken the EU and therefore Europe. No wonder they now desperately want to prevent the UK from correcting that mistake.

      The Trump admin is determined that everything under the sun must be purely transactional and mercenary in nature, so let’s put it in terms they will understand; “what’s in it for us, you pudgy loser?”

      Obviously they prefer an isolated UK as much as possible. The only good thing is that right now there are a bunch of retarded people in the US and you can see quite clearly what they want. Government heads can change, but the objective of EU destruction will be the same no matter how friendly they look, mark my words.

      Biggest problem is that average Brit pays no attention to anything that happens outside of the Anglosphere.

      The US wants to be the dominant, unquestioned power in the western world, and a united Europe is a threat to that. Their strategy explicitly calls for more countries to be pulled out the EU – Italy, Poland, Hungary. A united Europe is a modern superpower – individually, European countries are destined to be vassal states of either the US or Russia, which is just a proxy for China in turn.
