Cheers!

I am looking for trekking shoes in line with the guidelines of the Ministry of National Defense for spring and summer, but with very specific features.

The Ministry of National Defense guidelines themselves, as a reminder:

  • k艂odka antyprzebiciowa
  • no logos or stylistic quirks
  • high
  • coyote brown/brown
  • reinforced tip

I know there are some frequently recommended ones like Low, debates between camps continue, but none of these popular models meet my expectations.

Mam "Morton’s foot" (Greek foot), so most models are too narrow for me and have too much arch support, which causes serious abrasions on the inside of the feet and on the small toes.

Reference point: I run in Altra Lone Peak 9+, I strength train in Vivobarefoot.

Of course, I’m not looking for trekking shoes in such an extremely minimalist form, but the point is to show what I’m used to.

So far, I’ve been wearing some Karrimors that were a size too big, there were no abrasions, but there were a lot of blisters that shouldn’t appear after the tenth kilometer 馃榾

The orthopedist recommended that I find shoes that are more appropriate in size but meet the following criteria:

  • large width corresponding to the most natural shape of the foot
  • as low a drop as possible, as little arch support as possible (orthopedic insoles will be included)
  • rather no membrane, quick-drying (air permeability > waterproof in summer)

They will be worn with a heavy backpack for many days in a row, so comfort is an important feature.
If I have to replace them every three months – too bad, durability is a secondary issue.

I have 11 months to test different models in convenient conditions, destroy the target ones, check my hot spots on the feet for gluing – then I will take more serious tests in them.

OTB M-Carbon 8 seems to fit me quite well, but they don’t ship from the USA.

The closest to this style seem to be the Altama Helios SBM, with little arch support at first glance, but I don’t see any information about the sole, only about compatibility with AR670-1, which does not necessarily meet the requirements of the Ministry of National Defense.

I spent a lot of time in search engines, but unfortunately I don’t see many alternatives, and I don’t want to buy blindly.
Price does not play a special role, what matters is the effect.

I will gladly accept advice from lovers of wider shoes who are also experienced in stronger trekking 馃檪
