iHerb is back selling melatonin online to the Australian market, but they now have a disclaimer saying that Customs may demand a valid prescription or they could confiscate the order.
After having read about Border Force having intercepted 150,000 units of melatonin I'm wondering if anyone who previously ordered their melatonin online has managed to receive their orders recently?

Yeah, order received – no probs. Booked a Telehealth & got a script when I saw the announcement just in case, but wasn’t needed.
We’ve received it. Did get stopped by customs, but there was no notification the parcel had been opened.

Yep, my melatonin got through fine.
I ordered about 6 months supply of Natrol 5mg tablets (not gummies) last month and it came no problem with no questions or delays. Tracking showed it shipped from the US.
I don’t think customs has the resources to be stopping and opening every package that comes into the country. The 150k they seized probably came on giant pallets with tens of thousands each, not from tiny orders for individual use.
People were overdosing their kids on it. As it’s not controlled in the USA the dosage varied significantly to what was published. They tested it and it was all over the place. A 10mg tablet might have 0 or 25 or anything in between.
Ordered and received a couple of weeks ago.
I was able to order 600 melatonin tablets last month without issue.
I haven’t ordered yet, but a friend of mine ordered 2 bottles of 10mg along with her usual supps and received it. She did say the box looked banged up a bit, but nothing to say customs checked it.
Takes me back to last trip to USA where melatonin was not only for sale at just about every corner store but also had different flavour chewables (dissolves under your tongue) at those small shops. LA and NYC and smaller cities too. My US friends used these on long flights but given the availability I was wondering if the average American uses this weekly 🤔 😅
Just use a different site. Plenty ship to Australia with no issue.
Does iHerb require you to upload a copy of your script?
I received an order this week. Wasn’t asked for a prescription (I have one), but it did look like it had shipped from Australia.
I’ve noticed it now has a child safe lid, which previous versions didn’t, and the variety of what you can order is smaller. Prices seem to have gone up too.

Have placed two orders for Natrol 5mg gummies in the last few months (one through iherb one through another site). Both got through to me no problems.
I ordered 2 bottles of Natrol 10mg slow release and two weeks later they arrived safely. ASD/ADHD household here, we need sleep.
Any recommendations on which ones to get? I have used the normal 2mg from the chemist, so I don’t really want/need to go any higher. But there’s so many options on there.
Does the interception of melatonin impact the interception of say Heroin?
For better or worse maybe the infrastructure catches both. But I gotta think the human time spent on melatonin is going to negatively impact other drug detection.
Just hide your melatonin inside illicit tobacco, it will get through on a red carpet.
Got an order through two weeks ago, from Amazon. Same stuff iHerb sells, the Natrol ones.
Thank god they stopped the scourge of melatonin flooding our streets and poisoning our children.

Just wanted to point out for anyone who doesn’t know that using melatonin all the time doesn’t improve sleep & you develop a tolerance for it. It’s designed to be used short term to get your body into the proper wake-sleep cycle so that it will naturally continue this by itself. After that it’s done its job and continuing to take it just means that your body becomes used to it & the next time you need to use it it won’t work for you.
Yes, I did it no problems. I even bought shampoo that leaked and had to get repackaged by Australia post. Melatonin still turned up with no problems and wasn’t seized
I ordered and received it last month. Was aware of risk but zero issues
I must be the only one that finds melatonin doesn’t work. It actually makes it worse for my sleep.
My recent iherb order was with Oz customs for nearly 3 weeks before being released (it doesn’t even have melatonin in it!), so they might be doing random checks of iherb parcels I think

I got some from I herb last week and it cleared customs no dramas. They did the warning thing as I was checking out but hubby is insomniac so worth the gamble 🤷🏼♀️
