Iran War Concerns See Dubai’s Wealthy Increasingly Eye Switzerland as Financial and Residential Haven

From Dubai to Dübai

First they came for chocolate

And I said nothing because I was not chocolate

switzerland has always been seen as a safe haven, but this kind of demand just puts even more pressure on an already tight housing market

That’ll solve the housing crisis.

It has been the case before the war, its crazy to see number of apartments owned by them in Montreux and occupied only 3 months of year

Ironically I know personally some swiss multi millionaires who moved to Dubai last year to flee the “absurdly high” swiss taxes. They were angry that their country  dare ask them to pay anything to society after they inherited hundreds of millions. No joke. And of course they’re back now. 

Honestly, we dont need people like this. They don’t add to the economy despite what the SVP and Liberals say, they just want to protect their wealth and contribute as little as possible. On paper they are here but in practice they live and spend elsewhere instead.
