They’re clearing out avocadoes that are about to go bad.

One avocado costs 6,99 but getting one more, it’s free, so each one would cost 3,49 and yes, it means 2 of them cost 6,99!
Biedronka is very confused and always my checkout is more extensive because I didn’t understand what the label means

You can interpret “Każda z 2 sztuk” as “When you buy two units”, it’s displaying the individual price of them when the offer is activated on the tills.
Bear in mind that Każda is not “when” and z does not mean “you buy” (not in the slightest).

That price is in quantum superposition, once at the checkout it will collapse into one of the 2 states

If you buy an even number of avocados, then 3.49 per each. If you buy an odd number, then one avocado will cost you 6.99 and the rest 3.49.
World just cannot comprehend polish school of mathematics.

Biedronka employee here.
On the left, you have a regular price of 6,99 PLN. On the middle, its 1 plus 1 free. On the right – price of each in promotion, so combined you’re paying the same price for two, instead of one.
And yes, it’s really 0,01 PLN cheaper in combo, so I wouldn’t complain. And also yes – it requires high intelligence to comprehend this (as some customers told me).
Thankfully, no loyalty card and/or App Code is required to use that promo.

There are two types of avocados at Biedronka: Colombian and Israeli. South American is better 😉

Pro tip to navigate biedronka “offers”
– 90% of the time when you see a discount price it’s not really about the single item, it’s the piece for buying two.
– 10% of the time when price looks suspiciously low it’s because you’ve to buy 2 and third will have that discounted price
As a sidenote, if you make just a week or few days groceries go to Lidl, they’re more likely to have a discount on single purchases. If you make like a 10 day groceries at once then biedronka is the king.
Carrefour on the other hand is good if you want to buy daily close-to-expire fresh stuff.

In the right corner says “2 sztuk”. Which means when you buy 2 pieces, each piece is 3.49 pln.
Be aware that for most of these actions you need to have the Biedronka app. Just download it and choose English
