OK, I dont know if this is literally Polish, or if its just something sold in polish bakeries… my parents used to buy these at this supermarket in Chicago, Wallys Market. This is off topic but if any of u lived in Chicago, do u guys remember that place? they even had a polish PC store attached to the market, it was called Procom. my awesome parents got me my own first computer from them in the mid 90s as present for my first communion. anyway…
this dessert is kind of like a soft thin waffle/waffer roll with white cream inside it. anyone know if this is a purely Italian thing or is there a polish version of this, and what is it called? I’m seeing it called differnet things and can’t seem to find the exact thig in looking for….

Rurki z bitą śmietaną. Literally “pipes with whipped cream”. Buy a bunch of wafer tubes, some instant whipped cream and you can make your own.
Rurki z kremem/rurki z bitą smietaną so in english it’s pipe wirh cream/pipe with whipped cream
It’s called creampie
Tubes with whipped cream? Yeah, it’s one of these weird “local” treats. It’s sort of like out version of cannoli.

In Poland the “pipes” were very crunchy, not soft. It tasted awesome with soft sweet whipped cream.
Our national treasure *Hania Rani* created a song about it once:
