Lest anyone try to claim this is fake statistics, I have lived in China since 2007 and can absolutely confirm from my own personal experience that the air quality has improved dramatically in the last decade. They still have a ways to go, especially in winter air quality, but they have definitely made great strides in the last few years.

2010s Air quality was also better than 2000s (I don’t have data for the 2000s but speaking from personal experience)
