It’s been at sea for most of a year, they will be coming for the city’s liquor.

It must be one smelly ship after all the problems with clogged toilets and fires on board….

  3. This ship is worth more than 10% of Croatia’s GDP by the way…..

    It’s an impressive ship.

Nice aircraft carrier you’ve got there… be a shame if something happened to it

Hmm, might be me, but that defo looks a bit toylike, what on earth was Trump going on about….😳

Should be interesting to see if it was a laundry fire or enemy attack especially after his weird rant on Friday. Hard to keep that many sailors silent on R&R.

split is homeport/main hub of croatian naval forces. i guess this is the ideal place for repairs.

For the fact that Trump hates NATO so much the US sure likes to use the facilities they are granted access to by other NATO members.

Eh, check your laundromats, a small fire of washing machine could cause such machine to go for repairs.

  10. You can find worse places to visit during spring time than Split, that’s for sure. Pretty great history, food and views 🙂

  11. Watch out for the sailors shitting over the side of the ship. Their plumbing doesn’t work half the time. Seriously.
It’s been a huge problem ever since the Uss Ford was commissioned.

Huh, although this is the second time the Ford went there in a year (last time was around October), it’s strange they chose Split as the possible homeport for the time being.

The Ford is part of the Sixth Fleet,so technically she should be stationed in Naples like usual. Moreover, considering the fact she needs to be repaired and put on maintenance due to her long deployment,Naples is a better spot (i’m not saying that the Croats aren’t good at repairing ships, it’s that the Americans are more used to us Italians)

My (conspiracy) theory is that considering Naples is currently facing a Hepatitis A “crisis” (not a lot of cases, but still) and that we are growing extremely tired of the Americans and their shenanigans, the USN does not want to hear lots of civilians say “fuck you” to sailors that are already tired .
