    This should be per 1 billion global world population, shouldn’t it? Silver per 1 billion global population would only be slightly increased. 1960s had 3 billion people compared to our 8.3 billion iirc

    Just to clarify this is tonnes of mined metal/commodity, not bulk ore tonnes mined.

  5. Copper will likely shot up when the Bougainville mine reopen.

    It’s the world biggest copper mine, but it’s closed since the independence war of Bougainville within Papua. They voted in a referendum for independence, scheduled next year. It’s a certain they will reopen it to boost their fragile new economy.
