The passage, reported in the notice of scheduling of Miriam Caroccia’s interrogation, sheds the last veil on the business rationale of the Bisteccheria d’Italia restaurant and the «La 5 Forchette» limited company that manages it.

So, the company of which the former undersecretary of Justice Andrea Delmastro was a member had since its inception the function of laundering money for the Camorra clan through the restaurant in via Tuscolana. An activity “aggravated” by the facilitation of an association with the stamp of “mafia”.

Delmastro’s attempt to distance himself with the sale of the shares thus seems even more fragile. Also because Miriam Caroccia denies ever having signed the acquisition deed and to have never paid the 5,000 euros in cash compensation to the other partners as declared in the accountant’s document. Miriam will also report on this tomorrow to the prosecutors of the DDA and on the same day his father will be heard.

According to the invitation to appear, the Caroccias acted «in order to evade the legal provisions regarding patrimonial prevention» and thus allowing the Senese clan «to increase and strengthen its position in the territory through the control of economic activities, of reinvest capital illicitly accumulated over the years and to remove the assets and activities of the mafia association from ablative measures”.
