Hi,
I’ll be staying in Oslo and am trying to understand my options for parking. My plan is to park the car somewhere outside of the city and then take the public transport to the city centre. Where would be best for this?
Is this a good spot: https://maps.app.goo.gl/agdNLouFTVyq2eot5?g_st=ic (parish water lake)?
What are other alternatives?
Thanks in advance!
Edit: coming from Göteborg, an advice in the south part of Oslo would be more appreciated.

Sognsvann is still in the city, but not the center.
They also have paid parking in some spots now, but not all: https://www.nrk.no/stor-oslo/skal-innfore-betalt-parkering-pa-sognsvann-i-oslo-1.17739274
If parking for free is necessary, you’d be better served parking near a T-Bane in Baerum somewhere, like Kolsås or Gjønnes. Those areas fill up fast though, unless you’re willing to street park.
Try Oslo’s sub
You can park at sognsvann but move your car every other day because they deal out parking fees there.
Also sognsvann is a meeting place for gay people on Wednesday evening. They invite eachother in the cars or the woods there to have some fun 😉
Rosenholm station could work. I am not sure but it maybe max 24h parking.

Unless you absolutely need a car, would it be an option to just take the train all the way from Göteborg? Easier than messing with a car in the Oslo-area
