The article recounts an episode that occurred in 2004 during a rally by Ignazio La Russa in Biella, in which a homeless man, Michele Cannarozzi, was brutally beaten by some participants in the event linked to the National Alliance. Despite his serious injuries and his detailed testimonies about the attackers, he was the one arrested, while the alleged perpetrators – including Sandro Delmastro Delle Vedove – were acquitted.

The case is described as emblematic of superficial and deficient investigations: the police did not carry out adequate investigations and the judge himself spoke of “remarkable negligence”. In fact, the beating remained without culprits, also due to silence and lack of investigative details.
