The rails of my youth, though they left out the rattlers and made sure to get lots of shots from the Eastern Suburbs line which had only been running for a few years.
Still, new rolling stock was being put into service, Freshwater ferries were hitting the water and the new Mercedes buses had started a few years prior – it really did feel like public transport was going somewhere back then.
