    1. All cites in Germany have those spots. When the weather is nice and the sun comes out we love to hang out. Get a beer or an ice cream, get a friend to talk to or a book to read and just take a break.

In less prominent cities (like in terms of tourism) they might be harders to find, but they’re there.

I wouldn’t say those are many people on the picture, but yes. If the weather is good, people (in every city) like to sit in parks etc. I’m sure that’s the case in every country that isn’t constantly too hot or too cold for that.ย

    3. No Germany looks like this in Hamburg. in Berlin it looks a bit more yellowish. It has a purple tint in Munich.

    4. Certainly. I vividly remember people hanging out in the Lustgarten when I visited Berlin.

      Wait!!!!
Iโ€™m passing by that spot in a few minutes, I can look if itโ€™s similar to the picture now

Yes if the weather is good. And talking to strangers is the same everywhere, use your intuition and try out

    7. i love this type of vibe and i think i live in one of the worst cities in germany for this ๐Ÿ™ frankfurt. anyone know where i can enjoy this vibe in frankfurt? the main sucks ๐Ÿ™

    8. Yes that’s a very normal sight in pretty much all cities in Germany. When the weather is nice people like to chill on the grass in parks and oftentimes have a few drinks.

Yes especially as I know the exact spot where that picture was taken in James Simon park there’s a lot of people there when the weather is even passably nice and it’s next to museum island so a bunch of tourists too. There’s a lot of parks and nice green space by the waterways.

    10. Well the grass rarely looks like that at Monbijou park but otherwise itโ€™s pretty much accurate

    11. This is April. In Berlin, April means the forecast will tell you the sun is out, then it will hail, then the wind comes but the sun peeks while it suddenly becomes 2 degrees, then clouds will cover the sky and the forecast changes to tell you it will snow in a bit. You step out with a coat just as the sun comes out and it becomes 18 degrees for a full 8 minute window. All of this happens before itโ€™s even 10:30.

Of course, just be aware that heavy traffic roads, ugly Appartement and office blocks as well as drunk people are not far too.

That just looks like any major city with a park on a nice day. You can find that loads of places.

    14. Big_footed_hobbit on

Yes, this is no offense in Germany.
You are allowed to chill and sit outside, without ANY purpose.

One can even take a nap after work.

This is 100% Berlin in May-October. It is not uncommon especially near the city center to have loads of people sitting outside in the parks.

The further out you go, the less people will be sitting in public parks and instead in owned or rented gardens that are most of the time detached from their homes.

What is this question lol. Not trying to hate, but I think OP is a child who hasnโ€™t been to a city before

      No. Thatโ€™s Fakenews.

Germany still looks like back in 1945. Completely destroyed cities everywhere.

    18. In sommer? Yes. Especially in a city like berlin where you live in a closet for 800โ‚ฌ.

I just arrived in Berlin, saw this exact place from the train and took a similar picture. And yes, it looked like that!
