    If it’s anything like my hometown I bet the Moon has changed a lot since the 70’s.

    When I went back they pedestrianised the High Street and opened a MacDonalds. Shops are also open a lot later and there’s more rubbish in the streets, and a lot more traffic

    So they should expect a lot of changes…!

    I was in the same room as him once, though I didn’t know he was there until later so I didn’t get a chance to meet him. 

    He remains yet the only member of my profession (geologist) and the only scientist to visit another world (sensu lato).

    He’s also a tremendous prick by all accounts, but that is neither here nor there. I still would have liked to have met him.
