Unreal lmao, good sign to move abroad, this is unworthy of a liberal democracy.

Conscription should be for both genders or none at all. It makes no sense to only conscript men.

  3. There doesn’t seem to be an official source for this. Treat this as an unverified claim until a reputable news source provides details

They could attempt to make people want to join the army for benefits, maybe even raise patriotism to make them want to protect their country.

But it’s easier to force them into it

    Fuck sake what a clickbait!

They are allowed to leave, but they need to notify the government if they’re planning to be absent more than 3 months. They cannot stop anyone from leaving.

    Shit article anyway! 🤦🏻‍♂️

    * The rule had existed for 70 years and was suspended at some point 20 years ago
    * it’s only about leaving for more than 3 months
    * the Bundeswehr _has to_ give the permission. This is only about roughly knowing the number of draftable males within the country, should there ever be a sudden attack. Imo this is reasonable.

  7. They forgot to mention this article was sponsored by russia. Just to make the far right great again.

Man, I just want to be left alone. Live a normal life. Don’t want anything fancy. But the world can’t stop turning into shit and our democracies can’t stop backsliding into soft authoritarianism and now I have to be worried about getting drafted into war amongst many other things. Just want governments to leave me the fuck alone.

  9. The Berliner Zeitung has been repeatedly accused of spreading Russian misinformation. Take everything this news outlet publishes with a grain of salt, even more so since no renowned German news outlets are covering this.

  10. This paragraph has been there since the 1960s. Nothing new.

    See archive dot org/web/20070926223759/https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/wehrpflg/__3.html

Can’t post the link because apparently that archive website is blocked in this sub.

As long as the Epstein class exists and isn’t dealt with. I believe it’s disgusting to force regular youth to get conscripted.

  12. The law was just like that before 2011. Then the mandatory military services was paused and the permission was no longer required, unless a military conflict was very likely to happen. Now the mandatory military services returns and so does the need for a permission.

    Lots of drama for nothing.

  13. Maybe they can ask the migrants they imported since they clearly  value them more than the indigenous population.

Is there any civil rights law groups that can or are challenging this? I know Germany has a sexist and discriminatory mandatory service for men but surely they there has to be a civil rights law group to challenge this law whether in German courts or in European courts.

Captain: You can’t leave for 3 months.

Conscript: But I want to visit Poland.

    Captain: Then wait 3 months.

E ai alemães, estão preparados para morrerem por Israel e sindicato dos Epstein?

Click bait title, there is no way that Germany will conscript all the men.. would be good if they did tho

  18. Don’t use the Berliner Zeitung as a news source, it’s right wing and russian propaganda.

EDIT: wow the russian bots are out to downvote everyone mentioning this.
