Theres no traps, hes just an old idiot, who will be gone next week, and i really hope next years he will sit in a prison cell és a kurva anyját

  2. His deep state needs to be disassembled and all his cronies need to be behind bars.

  3. Orbán stacked courts, the budget council, and media regulators with loyalists, so even if he loses, his successor will struggle to govern effectively.

He is collapsing day by day. I’m Wondering where he will escape after next week? Moscow? Or somewhere else

I look forward to my country (Serbia) cooperate with whoever will lead Hungary after their elections.

Besides, Aleksandar Vučić can’t be the President for a third presidential term. That’s according to the Republic of Serbia’s constitution.

He will probably try a Trump-esque or Bolsonaro coup and then flee to Russia where he will bloat even more.

Of course, as the elections get closer, you start to realize that the current elections in Hungary are just like the recent US presidential election: the total number of votes cast is very important, but what matters is where exactly they were cast, how the swing voters will vote, and ultimately, who is on your team at each specific polling station.

Moreover, as the article points out, Orbán will do whatever it takes- even if he loses the election- to break apart the coalition and put together his own, and to destroy his opponents with compromising information or bribery.

And from some of the Hungarian comments I’ve read, it seems that on this sub, an echo chamber has formed that is wildly enthusiastic about Magyar and Tisza.

Hopefully, there won’t be a repeat of the Harris–Trump election effect.

It’s likely he wants his successor to focus on anything other than how much he and his family looted from the country.

  9. >“For Tisza to be able to govern, they would need to have some kind of coherent vision for the country, and they would need something resembling a coherent political community behind them. There is only one issue that unites them, they want to kick us out of power,” Hungarian EU Affairs Minister János Bóka told POLITICO.
    >
    >“That might or might not be enough to actually remove us from power, but it is definitely not enough to govern the country,” he added.

Why is Politico interviewing a Fidesz guy.

  10. Advise from Ukraine – 1 day after ousting orban out, law about cleaning of country from corruption should be implemented. All judges and officials from Orban era should either pass review or out. We had such law in 2014 and God thanks, or it would be total disaster in 2022.

  11. His successor would need 2/3rd of the seats to really be able to change smth meaningful.

If not, then still all I stitutions and courts and the media are stacked with organs people and important laws to change smth about it can be blocked.

That would mean organs propaganda machine would continue for 4 years, while shitting on the new government rendering them incompetent while they are just blocked from any meaningful attempt to change smth.

Orban can frame himself as democrat cause he allowed the change in power. And In 4 years he will be back

  12. This is a guy who designed the system to obstruct any kind of governing that is not him.

He would rather see Hungary collapse into chaos than allow the people to decide.

And he is Putins best friend.

If this doesn’t spell traitor, then I don’t know what does…

  13. Hungarians get upset with me when I say this, but the facts speak for themselves: Russia isn’t going to just hand over power in their country to them. I’d be very surprised if Orbán just sat around waiting to lose the election, and then, once he lost, simply handed over power and walked away.
