I love corellas, such beautiful ugly looking birds. You often see them after the rain digging in the dirt for roots and bugs.

A huge flock went over here (hawthorn) about an hour ago, not used to seeing that many in the city.

Looks like a Cotoneaster tree. They came by my place the other week and shredded mine, which was quite useful as no red berries falling on the driveway

I like corellas, cockatoos, gallahs and such but I bet the noise would of been insane 😅
We only had around 50 by my guess. It was nice to see someone enjoying the Bradford/Callary pear tree (cum tree) for once! The were wonderfully loud and chaotic. I didn’t even mind cleaning up the huge mess they made.

If you want to get stuck in a scene from The Birds, spend some time out at the Uni Hill factory outlets in Bundoora

Those faqqers will shred everything. Be nice to your local magpies, food scraps and stuff, and not only will the maggies never swoop you, they’ll chase off the first few of these before the rest learn from them where the fruit is.
Then you’ll get to see the Rosella’s eating just the fruit.

There was a massive gang of them a few days ago in Port Melbourne. Flew past the window of the office I work in, scared the crap outta meÂ

My mum use to live up in Lalor and the street was lined with olive trees. As soon as they started growing in for the season the street would be absolutely covered like this. Had to be careful driving up but the birds never flew away. Didn’t give a single fuck as you drove/walked past them.

The first one was a scout.
