I’m coming to Oslo in 9 days and I’m there for 6 days. I have several things planned, and I only have one planned day left, where I want to go on another Hike. I have already planned the hike in the picture, around Skjærsjøen, and I am looking for recommendations for another hiking route. I’m an experienced hiker and elevation doesn’t scare me, in fact the higher the peak, the better! Thanks in advance 🙂

Gaupekollen has brilliant views. Take the train to Movatn or bus 60 to Skar.
There’s no high peaks around Oslo.
It’s a nice hike, big trail and a lot of people! If you want to check out Frognerseteren or Grefsenkollen you’ll get amazing views over the city
I’m not aware of any peaks in Nordmarka that you can’t reach by trail running. Vettakollen is fine too, very short.
I hear Grønland is pretty nice this time of year.
extend your hike to the north such that you cross the river over bjørnsjøhelvete bridge, it’s a cool suspension bridge that will give you a slight adrenaline rush (depending on how afraid of heights you are, but its otherwise safe)
A little headsup: The forest bottom will be wet, and rotten snow will be in patches and northfacing areas.
As for hikes, when I lived in the area 30 years ago, Kongens utsikt in Vestmarka was a treasured spring hike.
You could go to Holmenkollen, then to the top of the ski jump if thats open
I don’t know your expectations, but I hope you know there are no great peaks in Nordmarka. You do the hike in the picture and a mother or father with a stroller might pass you. It is not exactly a ‘experienced hiker with no fear of elevation’ mountainous area.
