Could tiered pricing be a realistic possibility? Your first say 50L is $x, every litre after that is $y?
Sure, you could keep coming back for round trips, but that would at least somewhat partially deter people from filling up hundreds or thousands of litres of petrol?

Cutting the excise is not the way, it just puts more money in the pockets of the rich and less money for the government to combat the rising cost of everything else.
Need to restrict the use of fuel, order everyone who can to work from home, let those that need the fuel get it (farmers, tradies, freight and logistics)
Covid proved we were a selfish society, it’s going to happen again!
