It feels like every year there is some Easter event scam. Which is a shame.
The problem these days is that anyone can do up a professional looking flyer using AI. It’s hard to know what’s a professionally run event vs not.
I have suspicions it may be the same organisers who did multiple flame/fire festivals, often postponing the event many times (to avoid refunds), riding off the back of a similar named event, that were underwhelming and poorly organised… as well as being very bad at paying contractors…
I love that by the end of that article, the council, the racing club, the police and the ABC still don’t even know who ran the event lol
