  1. What a disaster Justin Turdeau was.. population explosion caused skyrocketing house prices.
Go woke go broke. Well deserved.

Holy shit Canada really is growing of late. No wonder they have a housing crisis – almost 33% increase from 1990?

  3. I knew Canada has a large and growing immigrant population, especially in its top 3 big cities, but I didn’t know it was 26%. That’s got to be at the very top for a developed Western country.

Nobody voted for mass immigration in Canada. All parties support it. Shows you how much the corporations pull the strings. Cheap labour for the bottom line and new accounts for sales. GDP goes up while quality of life goes down.

This could have been a graph.

In fact, this would have been much better as a graph. This isn’t MapPorn at all.

i genuinely do not understand how the US has had such an explosive population growth when it costs an arm and a leg to have a baby

Canada’s growth in 2022/2023 was inasne, 3 percent growth in population which is higher than most countries in sub Saharan Africa. Thankfully they now have goals to reduce those numbers to ease on housing and the job market, immigration is only good if it done within reason. 1.2m net more people moved to Canada than left in 2023, that’s like if 10m people moved to the US in a year.

And the current Canadian government doesn’t give a damn about the mass immigration problem. Oh well.

Oh look, an interesting map…. Aaaaaaand it is about immigration again.

  10. Foreign born population is such a weird concept, like all white North-Americans are just Europeans. Surely you mean people of color?

  11. Newfoundland should not be included in the first three maps as it was not part of Canada until 1949.

  12. A surprisingly consistent order of magnitude less. Take America, divide by ten, and that seems to be roughly Canada’s pop.

Lol I love how the conversation is around Canada and not the US adding almost 50 million people in the same spam

Canada is where the USA was in 1880. If the USA bans immigration, do you think Canada will catch up? Especially with climate change as the USA gets hotter and more submerged?

*(Note, if you are going to downvote me and not read this, thats fine, just scroll down to my last statement at least, then you can downvote or whatever).*

And the birth rate crisis is just going to get worse with contentions between men and women and 1 specific cause.

Its women going to college. Now hold your horses before you downvote me (prob will since majority of reddit is left leaning). But this is a critique I have for many conservatives as well.

You can look at the rates of college attendance with women. Women attend college more than men, thats true. But outside of nursing etc, women in GENERAL do pretty useless degrees, as in degrees that arent used or get them a high paying job. Gender studies, dance, feminist studies, social studies etc.

But ignoring this, even if you disagree with that, what is in contention is that women waste their child bearing years/most fertile years to go to college and become a cog in a machine. This pushes the average age of pregnancy to around 30. Keep in mind that having a baby at 35 for a woman is a geriatric pregnancy which can result in much higher risk of complications such as miscarriage and mental issues for the child. And the risk increases exponentially every year thereafter. Many women also won’t be able to have even 1 child the longer they put it off. Freezing eggs is too expensive for many women and often fails.

So if women only have children at the tail end of the fertility window, then they’ll produce maybe 1 child. You need a birth rate of 2.1 to sustain a society and replace you and your partner. Because western nations are more progressive, more women go to college and cause this birth rate collapse.

And what is the solution from western nations to address this you may ask?

…. Immigration! Great, we will bring in other people to replace our population and national identity! This is not me being against 3rd world nations. I’d have the same issue vice versa. It just is the case that many third world nations don’t have birth rate issues because they still have patriarchal nuclear family structures with traditional/religious conditions or reasons to. Material conditions make them immigrate. This also results in women in these countries focusing more on “duty” rather than desire. But this isn’t all women, although I’d say at least over 50%.

So the birth rates will continue to decline. But there is 2 things that can stop it. A social push with positive propaganda towards housewives and motherhood. And outlawing abortion. Over 90% of abortions are not for life threatening reasons/incest/assault. Even if I granted only for the 95%, the other ~5% can still get an abortion. 30% of pregnancies in the world result in abortion btw.

Because of feminism and push towards women getting degrees, the women who would otherwise want to be mothers are not able to because companies have propagandised women into going to college at much higher rates than in the past, so that they can maximize profits and increase labor pool and lower wages as more people can fill the job. This makes raising a child much more difficult in an economy like today and results in stay at home mothers feeling shamed.

So the solution is to not have a law, but a social push on women to put off college until ~30 years old. They’ll be given tax benefits and social benefits for every child they have with the same partner. And abortion for the 90% are outlawed. Men who abandon their children will also recieve massive repercussions and fines. That is the easiest way to make everyone’s lives (IN GENERAL) better.

(If you skipped till this point):

Or if you don’t prefer this, we can continue down this spiral and have immigration if a country can’t sustain its own birth rate. This is my view. And my view is shared by millions of people, especially those in the third world. Third worlders who will generationally bring this ideology (anti abortion, pro religion/anti women in college) and pass laws to reflect this anyway.

USA has grown way to fast….. doesn’t help that a lot of the population lives on the coast, everything feels crowded and traffic is always terrible (outside of NYC area)
