  1. Expecting a lot of frauds in this election from the current regime, helped by Russian and US regime

  2. That’s a good indicator. Fascists and authoritarians get most of their power due to voter apathy.

  3. If Orban loses this I’ll become the first human being to reach ethylic coma from drinking champagne

  4. When I lived in a big city I would always vote as early as possible. 7am if able. This kind of thing is important when your current government is hostile to democracy and the rule of law. But at least where I live, if you’re standing in line at the moment the poll is supposed to close, you can still cast your vote. Still, better not risk it.

Does anyone know if it works the same in Hungary?

Good luck Hungarians. Get a couple of beers in to enjoy whichever way it goes.

  6. Allrighty, then! Go kick that Putin-puppet in the butt. We’re rooting for you 🤞🏻🇭🇺

I’ll actually try to learn Hungarian to get citizenship through ancestry. Now that Italy took it away, and Slovakia changed the rules slightly.

  8. How fair is the election, really? How sure are Hungarians there’s no massive fraud going on today?

Gooooooooo Hungary! 🇭🇺 People around the world are cheering for you! Down with Orban and all corrupt far right populist leaders! Power to the people!

  10. Update from 15:00 CET: Turnout of 66.01% ([link here](https://telex.hu/melleklet/valasztas-2026/reszvetel))

    Update from 13:00 CET:

**Turnout of 54.14%**! compared to 40% at this hour in 2022 and 42% in 2002 (which holds the all-time turnout record)

Edit: and worth noting that while turnout increased everywhere the largest increase is from Tisza strongholds, while the smallest increase from small villages (Fidesz strongholds)

  11. I am hopeful that the Hungarians will choose to move away from authoritarianism. It will be good Hungary, the EU and for all democracies coping with Trump. This will show how the election rigging that the US is engaged in with Trump has limits. Orban’s methods are seen as a model to MAGA in the US to give them endless power.

  12. Keep in mind: 97.6% of EuroNews is owned by Alpac Capital, a company which belongs to the son of an advisor to Viktor Orbán.

  13. I have added some palinca to the fridge to get some marbles … please don’t fucking it because I know the Hungarians in Romania might fuck it up because they’re brainwashed … I really want to enjoy my palinca !

Please Hungarians, go vote and do the right thing!
I am in Berlin now and the queue for voting at the embassy gave me back my faith in humanity.

  15. I’m on my way to vote, I’m so nervous!!! A whole nation will fall into a deep depression if Orbán wins by cheating..

I’m so grateful for all the volunteers who do their best to ensure a fair election ❤️ köszönöm a munkátokat!!!

My vote for Norways entry in the EU which will likely come soon depends on the outcome of this election. I do not want my country to join a union where one member state can block all progress like this, as much as I wish for Norway to be part of it.

  17. I wish Hungary all the best and hope Orban loses, so that the country gets closer to Europe instead of further away. The world really could need some good news.

  18. Anyone know when to expect the first results? Will there be a useful exit poll for example?

I voted in Stuttgart at 8am, and had to already wait like 30 min in rain, if everyone shows up like that, we’ll hit a new record

    Lets go

Let’s go Hungary! Cherishing all the great memories I have of the many times I’ve visited Budapest and thinking how even better the rest of the country can be when you rejoin the European spirit.
