  1. Definitely me. Saw so many great films there. Highlights include a midnight screening of Koyaanisqatsi (more than once, IIRC), Tarkovsky’s Solaris, and a collection of short films that not only introduced me to Aardman, but also included their wonderful version of A Junkies Christmas (narrated by Burroughs himself) and the Oscar’s-winning Balance.

  2. These are something of a cultural touchstone for Sydneysiders of a certain age. u/StoicTheGreek I also saw Koyaanisqatsi there. Also saw Porco Rosso there, and Allegro Non Troppo.

    Being a single bloke in the early 1990s in Sydney was pretty good living, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss it.

  3. i went to the hogwarts across the road and spent a long time trying to date that arts girls from ravenclaw house and her thing was film which made it my thing

    she would get high and i tried to get high but my obscure film knowledge is pretty niche now
