Omg my train just stopped

Looks like 4 trams? Zoom into photo can see another one way in the distance, and 1 coming down the other way. Pretty sure its just delays and trams staying in sections of signals given the spacing.

I’m pretty sure I saw this play out on an episode of Thomas and Friends.
TLDR; it doesn’t end well.

Dammit! If only we bought trams that could go BOTH ways! I hope someone’s head rolled over this!

No they aren’t. The tram behind is fouling the points, but they aren’t facing each other.

What a coincidence, I found these 2 facing each other as well!

I suspect the pedestrians crossing between them might not help
They aren’t “facing each other”. The trains themselves have a driver’s compartment at both ends.
The red light usually means it’s the back of the train/tram
There’s a switch line right there.
Please explain how they are “facing each other”, there isn’t a driver in the cabin of the one in front.
That is the back of the train.
Apparently there is a power issue as per https://transportnsw.info/alerts/details/ems-70521
Or both showing their back?

Modern systems are designed so it’s literally impossible for two trains/trams to be facing head on…
