      Perhaps it was to someone in the UK in a badge and/or patch swap. Often happens with conferences etc

      It’s is a common practice for police who travel to take patches with them and trade them with the local police of the country they travel to.

      I have seen a pretty niche wall in a bar out West. The Publican was an ex Police Officer and he had about a hundred different patches all lined up on a wall. Was pretty cool in its own right.
