I stayed just outside of Nice for some time and did Monaco as a day trip. It depends why you are going. I wanted to see the Prince’s Car Collection, go to their massive aquarium and car spot. I went during their Christmas market time and loved every second of it. Got everything I wanted to do in a day done. Worth it for that.

A yacht harbour?
A university town?
A home town?
A tax haven?
A business location?
An events venue?

Without a more specific question I can confidently say that the answer is definitely yes and also definitely not

Its a great place to retire. Can feel pretty isolated for young people otherwise.
