  1. Great to see a cost of living minister! I think thats our biggest issue for the next 3 years!

  2. ColourfulMetaphors on

She could take an ikea cabinet to the election and still win comfortably when the opposition are the vic libs and the various other right wing grifters.

She should have a Minister For Pointing At The Liberals And Saying “Them?!” In A Silly Voice, that would guarantee victory.

  4. I hate all parties in the Victorian Government. One side is Lobster Mafia man and the other side is CMFU lady.

Please for god can we get someone that is halfway decent

  5. I’m still of the belief she will step down before the election. Take all the hits, then disappear.

  6. Vic Labor obviously have so many issues, but they’re the only party in the country taking the construction of new housing somewhat seriously.

I’ll get downvoted but I hope they win so the upzoning/activity centre polices remain as they are.

  7. I’ve been in the public service on and off for nearly 20 years. I’ve never received an all staff email with a video from the Premier sprucing government achievements and policy announcements like everyone received today.

  8. Another lawyer takes control of the health system.

I suppose when the choices are literally all either former lawyers, former union reps, or both… you can’t really expect someone with an actual health background to take control of the health system.

If only the other side had a chance. Then they could choose from former lawyers and former bankers/Big 4 consultants.

Not stepping down herself is significant hubris.

I’m not anti-labor, her public image is… rough though.
It’s not going to be shocking when this results in a diminished labor party just out of protest votes against Jacinta

  10. Shing keeps falling upwards. One massive stuff up after another and promoted each time.

Fyi, she’s obsessed with AI and wants to build a shitload of data centres. Pathetic.

  12. How did three retire and four were brought in? Are our taxes paying for an extra member of the cabinet?

Minister for Men, but no statement on helping men? Just helping reduce manosphere and masculine toxicity?

    >Mr Edbrooke, a former teacher, is also the state’s first minister for renters and will operate as minister for men and boys and consumer affairs minister.

    >”There’s been a definite change in how young boys become men and I think this portfolio is firmly focused on how we make young boys into healthier men,” he said.

    >”That has so many repercussions across our whole community — whether it be family violence, whether it be suicide rates — there’s a lot of work to be done there.

If they want to look at men’s issues, the current cabinet is only 7 out of 21 male. Looks like the new cabinet is 8 of 22.

One Nation watch will be very interesting in this election. They didn’t do great in SA which was popular government vs unpopular opposition. This is unpopular government vs unpopular opposition. Prime ground for populists to make big gains.

Honestly don’t want Labor to win another term since i believe Jacinta hasn’t done a good job and would be a terrible choice to lead the state again but its pretty likely she wins because Victoria is a Labor stronghold and Vic Libs haven’t exactly been the most competent. Vic Libs have also lost votes with older voters (55+) moving to other states or changing their votes to another party like One Nation.

Gonna be a rough time lol

  16. Don’t understand how people can live with themselves with blood on their hands. How do these people sleep at night.

Bondi. The deaths as the result of the machetes. House and car break ins, free bail. Not paying the teachers what they deserve. 15b no where to be found.

Yet your moral compass says to go for the job again?

Feel the 20% hecs was a trojan horse.
