I was looking at Egypt on google maps. One crazy country, insane population in the delta

Same with India’s fertile river valleys. Why there are so many people in India and China. Human populations boom when there’s fertile arable land.

I hope Wendover productions makes a one hour video explaining why Jordan’s population lives in such a small portion of the country’s territory

People don’t talk enough about Jordan’s crazy population density in the northwest, perhaps second most dense Middle Eastern region after the Nile delta.

When ISIS was big, you saw these maps with how much territory they controlled. But that was right in the middle part where barely anyone lives. They had a few population centers but most of it was desert.

Egypt still amazes me. 95% of 110 million live in that green area that’s only 5% of the land.

Lovely to see Iraq so green, they say there’s been a lot of rain lately.
