The article helps you reach out to your reps in opposition to the bill. I contacted both my senators.

We were at Capital Reef a few years ago and our jeep guide was explaining how wilderness zones work and how freaking cool they are. It’s crazy this asshole lives in Utah, can look at these amazing places, and want to ruin them.

  3. So, apparently the screw worm that USAID was keeping in check (until trump cut its funding) is now just 90 miles from our southern border. It traveled from Brazil to northern Mexico is less than a year. I wonder how this cut will impact our ability to track and deal with this monstrosity of a threat.

  4. This will no doubt help the corporations in ignoring any kind of environmental laws or considerations.

Mega has no problem destroying our national treasures and environment as a gift corporations who own them.

MISSOURIANS: please use the link in the article to contact our senators. As your reward, Josh Hawley’s photo looks even more poopy pants than normal.

  6. If illegal immigration is gone and the border is closed…why do we need this?

  7. I work in outdoor rec, and have for 20+ years. A couple of things really bother me. 1) People don’t realize how much money outdoor recreation brings to the economy as a whole, and to locations specifically where there is great access to the outdoors. Outdoor rec creates more jobs, and more gross revenue than all but two industries in the US (health care and banking makes more). I think if our government understood this, they would be less likely to try and pass bills like this. which bring me to point 2) Why the hell aren’t our companies that rely on outdoor rec lobbying the government the way oil does. The utter silence from the big retailers and gear manufacturers is deafening.
