Holy moly, what a read.

TLDR: seems like PH is running a North Korea style party and somehow members and volunteers are happy with it. Let's hope this will lead to an implosion.

  1. You mean Pauline “solar power is a scam but I had it installed at my house” Hanson is a scumbag? Colour me shocked

    Pauline a grifter?

    No, surely not.

She only has the best interests of working Australian battlers in her mind. That and the Anzac spirit…. and maybe something about phar lap and don Bradman……

Pure as the White Australia policy she is!

  3. This is easy to do.

Say a party with a single populist leader wants printing. The party doesn’t send the order to a budget online printer, they buy it from a company controlled by a proxy of the leader. It then sends the order to the budget online printer at an exorbitant mark up.

The proxy “media” company pockets the difference and the party gets a nice fat invoice to apply against their electoral funding. The proxy then distributes the difference as dividends to shareholders. A little tax is paid but the shareholders basically get paid buckets for writing an invoice.

Now this is hypothetical of course. But it’s not rocket science to see how federal election funding could enrich MPs with little or no scruples. Bonus points for being from regional Queensland.

  4. One Nation’s claims about who they speak for are bogus. They are aligned with people such Rineheart – who doesn’t care for the neglected.

Financial mismanagement aside, the culture stuff covered in the article isn’t shocking at all.

    >”… phone calls from party members to head office were discouraged. [Angela] remembers at one point being told while on the phone to “just fuck ’em off”.

    >“I was told, ‘You shouldn’t be taking those calls.’”

    >Angela raised her “serious concerns” about the office culture with party officials in Canberra and was given the phone number of Lee Hanson. But before she had a chance to speak to the party’s new national executive manager, her position was terminated.”

Ah, so I’m sure this opened her eyes to what the party really represents, right?

    >”She bears no malice towards the party, and continues to volunteer for a One Nation MP, but says party HQ needs fixing.”

    Oh.

The vulnerable musy be happy to be fleeced by her, for the privilege of blaming everything on immigrants.

This is the entire point of PHON. Hanson, Ashby, Joyce and the myriad of other current and former grifters in the party are entirely in on it. They have zero interest in actually being elected to do anything – they want just enough attention to grab votes and cash, but not enough to actually have to do the job.

People need to wake up to the fact that these people are the most openly corrupt group in Australian politics. Have been ever since the two Davids put Pauline in front of a camera as their front person for the grift.

  8. The party where elected members frequently split off and become independents? No surely not

  9. >She bears no malice towards the party, and continues to volunteer for a One Nation MP, but says party HQ needs fixing.

This is why it will never change. I almost feel sorry for some of these people, they clearly are very naive about Pauline and how she operates but its been clear for over 2 decades that she is a charlatan with no care for anyone other than herself. I hope there is some electoral reform and actual punishment for her fraud but i doubt it.

    What One Nation Stands For

1/ One Nation believes in filling Pauline’s bank account because that is in the best interest of the Party according to the Party’s leader.

2/ One Nation believes in doing whatever Gina wants because the One Nation leader adores having access to a private jet.

Traveling with the plebs in Business Class is quite frankly embarrassing for someone of Pauline’s political stature.
