Can anyone see this from where they are, and why does the sun looks like this?? It's really cool with the brown clouds and orange light.

Edit: Not located in Sydney (as in the city) – I'm in one of the Greater Western Sydney suburbs. It doesnt smell smoky at all

Its a bit hazy here at Parra but nothing like yours.

I’d guess that you don’t live far from any of the 6 hazard reduction burns going on in the northern suburbs at present, or the three down south near the shire and Campbelltown.

  2. It doesnt smell like smoke and has been steadily blowing in from the west, seems like dust maybe?

  3. It’s caused by smoke from bush fires.
There’s quite a few backburns being done today around the outskirts of Sydney and in surrounding national parks. There’s 6 in the Blue Mountains alone, and more if you look to the north or south of the greater Sydney region.

Like this here too. Back burning and when I checked hazards website there was a fire in Rooty Hill as well but didn’t disclose anything about cause.

  6. Similar here in North Shore. Sunlight turned orange before being engulfed by the haze
