Don’t worry. If they needed three votes to prevent this from passing, they would have dug up three votes. If they needed seven votes, they would have dug up seven votes.

  2. Jared Golden doesn’t need to be an employee much longer now does he. Wouldn’t it be something if someone moved to Maine, got themselves nominated, and then elected, and then won.

And if they can’t find a certain country on the map – that’s just too fucking bad.

  3. Knives were also held by ALL of the Republican House Representatives.

It was him and ALL of the Republicans who wanted to send you family members to fight another Forever War.

If less than 1 percent of the House Dems will vote against your values along with 100% percent of House GOP, you are better off to be represented by a House of only Democrats.

What about the 213 Republicans who voted to continue the war? Why are none of their votes seen as the “deciding” vote? This sort of nonsense propaganda is exactly what Republicans want leading into midterms so they can slide through and retain their majorities in Congress.

And Dems are going to wonder why we don’t trust the party with our votes. This another example as to why many of us believe that they are controlled opposition. Propping up destructive and fascist policies then telling us they’re the stop gap that will protect us and democracy.

Let’s be honest here—even if the ballot had passed, the war would continue.

  7. The Dems want trump to continue to sabotage the midterms so they hand him more rope.

What a hilariously obvious psyop to shit on Democrats.

Sure, 214 Republicans may have voted to continue the Iran war, but let’s focus on the one Dem among them. A Democrat from a competitive district that Trump won in 2020 *and* 2024 by the way.

These leftists are just controlled opposition to help Republicans.

Obligatory “fuck the Republicans who are primarily responsible for this,” but…

…isn’t it fucking ridiculous how we always have *just* enough defectors *not* to do the right thing? It keeps happening and it’s a fucking sham.

It’s clear that a big portion of our party has gross fucking views and hides behind sacrificial lambs for the sake of political expediency. This cannot be tolerated and we need to escape this cowardly, collaborationist mediocrity.

    1 Democrat

    213 Republicans

Damn. What party should I vote for? It’s a really hard decision… /s

Jared Golden received over $3million from AIPAC. His vote was bought and paid for

It’s always insane to me that 1 Democrat does something along with EVERY SINGLE REPUBLICAN, but somehow it’s still the Democrats fault lol this is why the people that say “boff sides bad” are fucking idiots.

There are posts like this all over the internet to help create infighting among Democratic voters. Be mindful of that. One goal right now = DEFEAT TRUMP!

  14. Wonder how much the administration paid him for the vote. Gotta be at least mid 7 figures.

So the USA just decided that this war is what they want, and not that their president is a madman.

  16. His reasoning:
    >The purported aim of this and other War Powers resolutions is to stop the hostilities. Thankfully, the United States and Iran are currently in a ceasefire, and we are negotiating over critical questions of national security and international order. I believe we must maintain a strong negotiation position over Iran’s nuclear program, freedom of movement in the international waters at the Strait of Hormuz, and how to achieve a durable peace between our two nations. At this moment, a resolution like this would weaken our hand.

  17. Just remember to get sarcastic and dismissive if someone says the Dems are complicit. Maybe type ‘Both Sides’ but with random capitalisation and spelling mistakes.

Democrats could hold all 535 seats and they’d still somehow fail to block Trump’s agenda.

  19. Hard to blame Jared when every time we are in this situation the exact number of Democrats flip. It’s not an individual Democrat that’s the problem. It’s the party.

If Republicans had spines and a sense of responsibility/ethics/justice/sanity Trump would not be in office because they would have removed him already.

But no, it’s the one Democrat that’s the problem, oh okay sure sure

Golden isn’t the fall guy. He’s a conservative democrat and also voted to keep tariffs because he is a dumb ass.
