I usually take public transit to work, but rarely need to drive (Kircheberg Auchan area). Until recently, I’d park at Auchan and repark every 3 hours to get free parking. Recently, they changed the free parking time window to 2 hours and I decided to try the park and ride near the airport – Heienhaff. Only 2 tram stops away from auchan and 24hrs parking for free! Very cool option, highly recommend!
Keep in mind, that to get the free parking, you have to install their P+R mobile app AND allow full access to your precise location (otherwise, you’ll have to pay for parking).
I understand that’s how they’ve decided to determine if you qualify for a free day offer, but allowing CFL (and perhaps their business partners) to know your exact location during the day feels like my privacy violation:)) i hope they don’t misuse this data 🙂

Yeah I found it pretty nerve-wracking the first time getting it working but it’s decent!
Only if you meet the complicated free conditions.

Any kind of data collection WILL be leaked eventually. My hope is that they don’t STORE location data.
As usual, legislators sleep.
You can allow the full access until you meet the free condition and then revoke access until next time if you don’t want them to have a permanent access to your location.
Couldnt you theorically use an android smartphone and install a location spoofing app? I would definetely do that
do not stay longer than 24h though, gets really expensive..
