Pierre is the boy who cried wolf too many times. When he screams and shouts about everything and anything the government does whether it responsible or even damaging, it becomes harder and harder to take anything he says seriously. He always looks to score partisan points, and he constantly exaggerates and makes a big deal out of nothing. Now he’s getting devoured by the wolves and people are saying “finally” instead of showing any compassion for his pleas.

  2. Oh the contortion the right is twisting themselves into to try and make it seem like PP isn’t a disaster for the party….

    >What?, no…. The Liberals obtaining a majority through floor crossing and by elections isn’t a bad thing….. in fact no, hear me out… it’s actually a gooooood thing for the CPC….. wait where are you going fiscal conservative voter? No don’t go to the Liberals….. I said it was a good thing for us that we lost…..

  3. Most of these op-eds are behind paywalls so correct me if I’m wrong… There’s much pearl clutching but what I don’t hear from the CPC and its allies is demands for a general election

  4. The Conservatives have a habbit of trying to misinform voters about perfectly legal mechanisms of how our parliamentary system functions.

They convinced voters that coalition governments are unconstitutional during the Harper Years. They tried to claim the Trudeau Era Supply and Confidence agreements weren’t fair. And now they’re trying to claim that Carney cheated when he managed to upgrade his minority to a Majority outside of an election.

Just look through the Canadian Constitution and look for “political parties” and you will not find it.

The Constitution gives citizens the right to vote for a person who will represent them, not to vote for a party but for someone to become a Member of Parliament on their behalf.

Just tell me what laws were broken  otherwise quit the fake outrage and get on with business. This is an idiotic exercise.

Don’t like floor crossing? Guess the CPC shoukd have banned it last time it was voted on. It was helping them then and they loved it.

  7. You can say majorities from floor crossings is completely legitimate while also saying governments should be more restrained in how they take advantage of their differently won majority.

This is a unusual situation and could totally turn around and bite Liberals if they aren’t careful.
