    It is insane that one complaint from a single, unidentified landowner can provoke the state government to cause such environmental damage and wildlife death. As well as damage to other farmers in the same region.

    That’s genuinely horrifying. I’m glad the researchers were helping but there’s so many animals that they can’t help. Wetlands are such an important part of the ecosystem.

  3. Did the government even check how much damage the property of the person that complained had incurred or did they just take their word for it. Seems awfully rushed to make such a large decision without a proper investigation on environmental impacts

    Australian governments are hell bent on destroying the little bits of precious, habitable nature we have. This is maddening.

  5. This government has been so busy cosying up to the billionaire class and the  Israeli lobby to do their jobs. Absolute disgrace. It’s time we made government to be working for Australians again.
