Poilievre is a big contributor to the Liberal party’s recent success. But it would be better for the health of our democracy to have a good faith and competent leader of the opposition. Poilievre definitely isn’t it.

  2. It’s also kind of fitting that a party that is unable to self reflect, adapt or learn from it’s mistakes is lead by a leader who is unable to self reflect, adapt or learn from his mistakes. The party basically has the leader it deserves and still continues to cling to him, even to it’s electoral detriment.

The CPC had plenty of chances to modernize on climate & social issues and build more comprehensive platforms, but instead they doubled down on True Blue candidates each election cycle and wonder why they couldn’t form a government or capitalize off of Trudeau’s declining support enough to win in any of those three elections etc. (O’Toole attempted to modernize the party, but his betrayal of the Reform/Alliance base on top of inconsistent messaging while campaigning made it difficult for him to actually bring in the new voters he needed to facilitate that.)

  3. It was mentioned on Good Talk with Peter Mansbridge but not only do we hear Pierre Poilievre talk, we then get the pleasure of hearing 2019 PM reject Andrew Scheer say the same things.

Feigning sympathy for those facing gas prices as he drives around in his Cybertruck too.

Last line of the article was the best. PP is the perfect opponent for Carney, who most definitely wants him to stay on.
