I remember the owners testing the idea on reddit before opening and regularly being grateful for the feedback. It was the nicest place to hang out in as a middle aged person. A real loss. I hope the owners are doing ok.

High costs to operate. Need to change how commercial property is valued so small to medium businesses can thrive again. Won’t get into alcohol taxes and insurances.
And yes, I know I know changing commercial valuing will fuck up a lot of super funds in addition to rich fuckwits.

I’d imagine similar reasons to why Can You Keep A Secret closed down in Woolloongabba – rising rents/costs, less disposable income, etc.
