Why they just don’t elevate the Netherlands instead of trying to block the water.

I know a guy that works in excavation I can refer him.

This will benefit no one and cause tremendous ecological and economical damages. When do we start?

  3. At that point, it doesnt seem like the Dogger Bank/North Sea project is too far fetched.

  4. Do the Dutch have a mutation that makes them like beavers only it’s not the sound of running water, it’s simply the sight of water?

“Hey Hans, you see that bay over there?

“Not for long. Go get my shovel, Guus”

  5. idk anything about hydrology or how dams actually work in detail, but wouldn’t that destroy the Wadden Sea, one of the biggest tidal flats on earth and one of the most important biotopes of Northern Europe?

Got any links to this? Never heard of it before last week when somebody mentioned it on the radio…

  7. They should make a dam of it, most powerful in the world, and then ckean the water for the coastline reborn artificial controlled sea.

Idk if it’d be worth it, but I think they should do it cuz it’d be cool as fuck

Hmm yes, let’s cut off the ports of Dunkirk, Zeebrugge, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven and Hamburg from the sea. What could go wrong?

fase 4 never gonna happen, Antwerpen is way too dependent on its port to let it happen, they would lose billions without the port

  11. I read a time ago that the biggest threat of water is not necessarily the sea but, the rivers the run through the country.

  12. They need to do this for the entire Ganges delta if you don’t want 250 million climate refugees when sea levels rise.
