Devils Tower in Wyoming is a 867ft basalt column rock formation that was designated as the first National monument in the United States in 1906. This formation is also a sacred site for many native Americans, who call it Bear Lodge.

Um… El Capitan is over 3,000 feet tall and portions of the vertical face on Half Dome are a similar height.
Devil’s Tower is not the largest or tallest rock formation in the U.S.
