As a Russian, I’m supposed to feel proud of this, I guess. But it’s just another monument to inequality, corruption, and a failed system serving the chosen few.

actually, in germany we dont know exactly hoe many billionaires here are destroing ojr democracy, as we had the brilliant idea to only tax work instead of wealth. 243 is just an educated guess, but as wealth for the top 1 exploded in the ladt decade it could be higher :]

Im not sure how Forbes defines billionaires but going off the logical definition (Net worth >1B) This does not seem to be very accurate. For example, Lithuania has 6 people that have over 1B euro net worth

Sweden isn’t all that surprising given how many big and well-known companies they have, but then Denmark and Norway is a bit interesting they don’t have more. The biggest surprise to me is Italy having so many when their economy is like 4th-5th on the map and their population is less than the UK.

Both Finland and Denmark are in a situation where most of the billionaires are due to a single company:
Lego for Denmark, 4 members of Kirk Kristiansen family and Kone for Finland, with 4 members of the Herlin family

Really not much use unless it’s per 100,000 pop or something.
For example on Ireland’s scale that’s like the UK or France having 169 billionaires.
1 billionaire in Iceland is slightly higher rate that Germany for example.

According to Austrian media, Austria had around 60 USD-billionaires in 2025. Not just 9.
The richest is, no surprise, Mark Mateschitz (heir of half of Red Bull).
Edit: ok, if it considers citizenship, then a few (mostly German) billionaires can be deducted, but 9 still seems low
