Their silence on all things south of the border except how it’s so much better there than here (really? Do you actually read anything out of the U.S.?), really does make me wonder.
Trump holds a strong hand, we are overly reliant on America’s economy and Carney was correct to say itd a weakness. Even if we quadruple our exports outside of America we won’t come close to matching that trade.
But America has some weaknesses too. They are also dependant on several of our trade items like wood, oil and fertilizer. Trump is looking at catastrophic midterms, he is very short on wins and he needs this even if he refuses to admit it.
Carney is also putting together a strong and diverse team, Trump/Lutnick will have yes men at best. Also a strength for us.
We have to play it out slow and be willing to walk away. Better no deal than a bad deal. The closer we get to the midterms the more the odds turn on our favor

I wonder if conservatives see what Trump is doing and reflect on that at all. Like this bit of wunderkid brilliance:

At least some conservatives in the U.S. are starting to see the error of their ways: https://bsky.app/profile/parkermolloy.com/post/3mjz5j56r3k2t
But do conservatives here, y’know, “get it”?
I do wonder.

Anyways…
Everyone says this but doesn’t seem to acknowledge that Carney removed [most tariffs on US imports](https://www.canada.ca/en/department-finance/programs/international-trade-finance-policy/canadas-response-us-tariffs.html)
