  1. Too little too late.

Your apology should be disappearing from the public eye forever.

  2. Seeing this guy making rounds in liberal and left spaces is a real downer. He’s a propaganda agent and some folks cannot see how they are being played.

Believe nothing he says and eject him immediately.

  3. > Carlson responded to Trump’s attacks, stating, “I’ve always liked Trump and still feel sorry for him, as I do for all slaves… He’s hemmed in by other forces. He can’t make his own decisions. It’s awful to watch.”

This is not an apology. He knowingly lied to the public in order to advance his own agenda. His only reason for this so-called apology is because he has lost any political sway that he once had and it is now hurting his income.

It’s not like he had an ‘are we the baddies?’ moment of self reflection. I feel like Tucker and MTG see the wheels coming off and are pivoting (currently) until they can back a new conservative candidate. For them it’s more about their popularity than politics. This also keeps them in the news and not tied to an increasingly unpopular war.

Apologizing is one. Setting the record straight is number two. Pour all your energy into making right what you did wrong and then maybe we’ll talk.

  6. A little late for apologies, dipshit.

You’re a rat abandoning the sinking ship, nothing more.

“Donald Trump is a real man! He’s the single greatest thing that’s ever happened to Amer,,,”

*russian agent hands him a document”

“I am truly sorry for ever having supported Donald Trump”

“It was not intentional”. And there’s the lie. Dude can’t help himself. We all know he hated Trump behind the scenes and thought he was a fucking idiot.

  9. Keep in mind that Tucker is a Russian propagandist who continuously spreads misinformation. This isn’t a moral decision for him, he is probably just being offered more money.

For Tucker and everyone else who might be having Trump regret…

It is not that you made a slight error.

With few exceptions, it is much more likely that you long ago fell sway to a pattern of lies and disinformation whereby your entire framework of ascertaining reality itself has become hopelessly corrupted.

Please, do not let Trump regret lead you to believe you just need to find a less insane individual to slavishly follow.

Please instead begin some deep and long introspection with regards to how you think or even if you think at all.

Here’s what I would suggest, in no important order…

    * Completely stop consuming Fox News… in any form. It’s not *only* Fox News you should avoid. And I am not suggesting that you switch to anything else. This isn’t a plea to watch {insert_something_else} instead. Fox News is simply that bad. It is the go to example for budding data scientists and the like to learn how to lie with charts and reports. Fox was *created* for propaganda purposes. Simply let it go.
    * Learn about logical fallacies. Not so that you can become an export in DARVO and Tu Quoque (whataboutism) or sound smart. The goal here is to learn how to execute critical thinking and assess the worthiness of information. We are **surrounded** by lies, disinformation and propaganda from advertisers, politicians, scammers, etc. Many pursue a simplistic strategy here of picking a “trusted” source and just following that. This could be your pastor, your coach, a friend or… Fox News. Your goal here is not to critique “the other side”. The goal here is identify the lies coming from “your side”. That’s the challenge. Git gud here.
    * Recognize how much you have fallen prey to fear and try to avoid this. Fear is indeed the mind killer. FUD is a robust technique. It’s been used against you. Strive to recognize it and rise about it.
    * Check yourself to see how much have let tribal membership and association drive what you believe is true. If everyone around you, all your family or friends or those you try to impress, refuses to believe that 2+2=4 are you willing to hold true to what you believe is true despite ostracism, ridicule, etc.? Or do you cave immediately and repeat the party line?

I care not for Tucker’s “apology”. Tucker is absolutely part of the problem. And there are no signs this is changing any time soon. But the rest of us can do better.

The damage is done, & now you gonna just pivot & asked forgiveness? Who’s silly now 😁

  12. “Daddy’s coming home and is he’s going to give you a spanking.’ Fuck Carlson he knew what he was signing up for.

  13. GuitarGeezer on

Is he sorry for shilling for Putin’s genocide in Ukraine for the cash? No? Then I have no use for this unprincipled liar.

Trump was just a tool. A battering ram. Once he stops being the tool they need and the door is broken down they will all abandon him

Never trust a grifter, even if they start saying things you like. *Especially* if they start saying things you like. They’re not growing, they’re just adapting.

  16. While I agree with the sentiment here of “too little too late,” there’s a growing suggestion to accept apologies and welcome people to “the good side”.

Whether we feel that’s possible for Tucker or not is it’s own story. And trust me, I also enjoy saying “f-you”. But food for thought when it comes to the message we send to potential swing voters here.

  17. ManyAreMyNames on

I want a detailed explanation for how he could have been so terribly, terribly wrong. What particular stupidity was it that caused him to make such a disastrous mistake?

Because if he doesn’t know where his mistake came from, how is he supposed to avoid repeating it?

  18. DoobaDoobaDooba on

Fuck Tucker. He knew exactly what he was doing, and he knows exactly what he’s doing now. He’s an opportunistic worm trying to capture the growing market segment of disenfranchised Republicans and Centrists.
