Queensland Rail is beyond a joke now, seems like they are trying to redirect anger at unions and pulling stunts like this constantly now.

Constant track closures, fortnightly and every holidays, and now this?

  1. Whole situation is fucking bizarre. With your average person, as usual, getting fucked over.

Have a look at the fat turd who’s Transport Minister – and therefore oversees Queensland Rail. There’s your answer.

What difference does the amount of cars on the train make? It’s still 1 driver and 1 whistle blower?

  4. What else should they say?

“union protected industrial action” is a suitable term. Would you rather they said “worker strikes”?

If there’s nobody there to maintain the trains, the trains can’t run. So their explanation is correct.

Direct the anger at the right place. Like the current government that decides how much funding QR gets to pay their workers.

It’s that time of year when the unions are negotiating their certified agreements, and it seems like the Crisafulli government are repeatedly sabotaging QR’s services and then publically announcing that it’s the union’s fault. Not sure who they’re trying to convince, or how this is supposed to improve their negotiating position?

  6. That’s an odd byline QR I think you mean legally protected industrial action….. unless you have an agenda

  7. Kick out Shit a Fulli…. Reform QR by kicking out the entire Leadership and fking fix our bloody rails

Last few days it’s all being 3 cars, and after the fourth station, the train is full and can’t collect anyone. Those people must be forced to wait hours to get on a train.

  9. I don’t hate Queensland Rail, I hate this stupid QLD government that you could smell for 1000s of Kms away was going to be dog shit is doing these sort of predictable moves.

Can someone explain the situation at QR and the Industrial Action.. someone mentioned NGRs needing maintenance but need more understanding

  11. Must have a Thatcher wannabe at the desk. They will definately be wondering why paint sales are down without even realising the business is public transport. Munters, quick with the great aussie salute, 👉 “not me”.

I’ve been reading a lot about the Bjelke-Petersen government lately and this reeks of the kind of union abusing actions they did back then. Which some claim led to a resurgence in the union movement and the downfall of Joh . . .

I’m confused for the timeframes of this. Is this starting from now? And if so, till when?

  14. I would like to know what the disagreements are. If there are strikes over it then that’s why is legally protected but what isn’t being agreed upon? Having known a few QR employees anecdotally there isn’t a huge workload on some of them

  15. I sure do hope once this Government is gone the next guts QR management for weaponising rail services. Absolute clown show.

  16. Dear new southern arrivals. This is why we don’t elect the LNP here. They are useless. Always.

I feel very tired with this government. Regardless of whether this is the unions fault or not, they seem lackluster at best and malicious at worst. I hope they are voted out by a kilometre at the next election.

The train system has been useless for years. I cant remember the last time i got a train that was supposed to be a single train trip to my destination not have to be multiple rail buses and an extra 30+ minutes of time.

All this other shit is white noise.
