Cooked any famous Melbourne dishes and had success?
Found this Kalimera chicken recipe on Recipetineats and it was actually surprisingly close to the real deal! Got me thinking… has anyone else found a recipe and had a go at it and had any success?
It is a frequent midweek meal. I prepare the sauce the day before while I’m doing something else, so the final stage of cooking is fuss-free.

I genuinely can’t think of a famous Melbourne dish – what do you mean by that?

I make a batch of the A1 halloumi cheese pies every couple months from a recipe on sbs and freeze them – makes about 15-20 depending on how large you make them. I slightly undercook them, then chuck them in the oven for 15 minutes. Absolute winner of a recipe and my 5yo loves them.
