    1. Maybe our digital twin that these company has successfully built would replace the rest of us still remaining?

AI may very well drive a labor crisis but for these companies it feels like the investment in AI is the root cause right now

they spent years telling us to learn to code, now the code learns to replace us.

I do not think it will be unemployment that causes the worse disruption, but underemployment. I can see people taking jobs that pay less, multiple jobs, side gigs, etc.. Plus, you have the younger generation not being able to get into their fields, and add pressure to the underemployed sector.

I think it’s 100% real for certain roles. AI slop is actually better than goofus employee output. But not as good as rockstar employee output, and never will be.

    6. Can’t wait for the AI degredation crisis to occur and these ever enshittifying corporations finally reach the point of no return.

I dont trust this. Both companies spent billions on AI. Investors demand results. This gives them what they want. Meanwhile Meta is hopelessly behind in AI because of the Metaverse debacle. Ofcourse they say the revolution is here. They have to.

    8. The same Microsoft which fired 16k employees, blamed AI, and went on to hire 6k visa employees in the same week.

    9. Also considering that these companies don’t have revenue problems, and these lay offs are probably just to please shareholders

I know we replace people with AI to get more money, wait where is the money?

🫪 People looking at corpos with no income because corpos fired them to replace them with ai.

    11. Microsoft isn’t cutting jobs – its a 1 time offer to older employees that are great performers that haven’t been laid off in the 15-25+ years they’ve been there. opens up more senior positions for employees that have been there only 5-10 years
