I’m glad he got a dignified way out, aside from the obvious mental health issues I believe he also had cancer? I’m sorry for this guy man. I believe he was SA’d as a child and that may have affected his alcoholism and snowballed into this.
I was SA’d as a child too (not in church context) and I hid it perfectly well age 8-19 until my body just collapsed and I couldn’t cope and started drinking and later professional help which led to a few hospitalisations. I don’t want to end up like this, really. Stories like him show me that child abusers should get the absolute maximum penalty possible. You take someone’s life away who didn’t even have a chance to experience life to begin with, sorry for the rant

Nog maar eens een triestig voorbeeld hoe onze zorg er voor staat. Ik betaal graag belastingen indien goed besteed maar als we nog niet eens mensen de zorg kunnen geven waarom betaal ik dan godverdomme bijna 50% belastingen?
He had such a promising career ahead of him but he ultimately ruined it. Very tragic.
