Some comments as OP (per rules):
– Trump is continuing his attacks on US’ historic allies
– Undoubtedly also a continuance of Trump’s / Republicans’ attacks on NATO
– It’s another sign of the reshaping of the world order.
US has around 40,000 troops in Germany currently, so this is more just for show. Something Trump can parrot around as “punishing Germany” without actually changing much.
But i’m sure those 5k troops and their families will just *love* the suprise of being told to pack up their things to leave
