Let’s maybe not buy from the cunts who caused this?

I haven’t been on a foreign holiday in like 20 years but as an Irishman in England this year was gonna be the first time I went by plane since my daughter was born 😂 ferry is fine anyway I don’t care…

I’ve always enjoyed going round gb for holidays but I can foresee the cost of that going up if people stay on the island, just as well the family loves camping

And yet we have oil fields big enough that we could just tell the oil market nah we’ve got our selves sorted but nope

    4. This is why travel insurance and/or booking a package deal is worthwhile

What a stupid headline. When else can you cancel a flight over fuel shortages if it isn’t in advance of the flight?

“You know that flight you took last week? Yeah, we’re cancelling it”

Click bait headline, but basically it’s to help avoid last minute cancellations where you arrive at the airport.

Airlines will be able to cancel flights weeks in advance, without losing valuable take off and landing slots at busy airports, if they face fuel shortages this summer.
New contingency plans have been drawn up by the government to let carriers plan ahead, helping to avoid disruptive last-minute cancellations for passengers.

From a totally selfish point of view… and because I can’t find the answer…

I paid more for more convenient flights for my holiday, the airline were offering multiple flights (at the time of booking). I chose mid afternoon/evening flights at an extra cost of £100pp. Whilst this isn’t break the bank, if we get moved to early morning or night flights will we be reimbursed the difference?

    8. >Ministers have also asked the UK’s four refineries to maximise jet fuel supply

Why? Most aviation is for leisure purposes. I can see that it would be annoying to have your holiday flight cancelled but if there’s a limited amount of oil then keep it for petrol and diesel because car drivers, truck drivers, farmers need fuel to do their jobs.

    9. Let get ready for flights being cancelled to save money because jet fuels too expensive then the flights reappearing with higher tickets prices.

Stupid question but surely there are other routes ship oil tankers can take to get to destinations, I understand it can take longer/cost more but I don’t see why this war is a reason for fuel shortages
