This is the American elite manifest destiny, just like the ultra welathy over valuing their effort and dismissing the middle class who built the country, the USA under the Trump White House now credits itself entirely for USA Hegemony.
Sure, Europe isn’t perfect, but as an economic block and a population of 700million, you want them in your alliance.
